How we help our clients

The multi-faceted nature of technology can make it difficult to see the whole picture. It’s easy to get lost down the rabbit hole of an individual branch. We know, we’ve been down many of them. The good news is that because we’ve been down them, we know what to expect. Technology is very modularized. Data goes in to one piece, gets modified, then passed on to another piece. We’ve drawn out many a flowchart over our careers. That being said, we’ve had the experience of drawing out many a flow chart over the years. Like the explorers of old, we’ve learned the tricks of the trade, the pitfalls to watch out for, and the best practices to implement so we can help you ensure the best outcome for you and your organization. We live in this jungle.

We live in this jungle.

One of the first things we do with our clients is to map out three things, where we are, where we need to go, and how we’re going to get there. A phrase heard often in our home is, “You can’t get where you want to go, if you don’t know where you are.” This is true for businesses as much as it is for our sons. We have to know what’s happening on the ground first. Then we have to know what “success” looks like for you. This is where we start to weigh in. Suffice it to say, there’s a difference between cutting edge solutions and bleeding edge ones. Lastly, when the start and finish points are clearly established, then, and only then, can we draw out the route to get there. We’re not interested in striking out on hunches, ”we’ve always done it this way”, or even our own preferences. We’re interested in getting you from A to B the right way for your org.

You can't get where you want to go, if you don't know where you are.

An old Apple ad from 2013 says “There are a thousand no’s for every yes”. Technological options for you and your organization are endless. There are thousands of options. Not all of them are good. Even fewer are a good fit. Even less are right for you. Another line from the same ad says, “We begin with intention. Then we begin crafting around that intention.” We adopted the same philosophy many years ago. We’re not afraid to tell you “no”. Our reputation can’t abide, “Well, the customer said they wanted it, so…” We’re here with decades of experience with technology, but more importantly, experience in helping people use that technology. We’re not just tech people. We’re people people too.

"We begin with intention. Then we begin crafting around that intention."
